As such we are very excited to present the 2ND ANNUAL PRIDE IMPACT AWARD! This award recognizes future leaders in our industry that are making a real difference for the LGBTQ+ community.
One veterinary student and two veterinary technician students will be awarded the UVC PRIDE IMPACT AWARD to thank them for their contribution and help them on their student journey.

Open to 3rd and 4th year veterinary students and all veterinary technician students from any AVMA accredited school (graduating class of 2023 and 2024) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
To enter, please submit a 3-5 minute video essay that shares why you are inspired to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine, what you are doing to improve the lives of all pets and people, and how you are empowering, supporting, and uniting the veterinary profession, your campus, and/or society at large to support the LGBTQ+ community.
3rd or 4th year veterinary students and all veterinary technician students from any AVMA accredited school are eligible to enter
All entrants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above
One Veterinary Student will receive an award of $5,000
Two Veterinary Technician Students will receive an award of $2,500
Submit a 3-5 minute video essay, cover note, resume, and transcript
Entries will be accepted from June 1 - October 31, 2022

Ashlea Tenorio (She/Her/Hers) is a 3rd year veterinary student at Texas A&M where she is the President of Pride SVMC and an active member of the Committee for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Accountability (C-IDEA). Her passion and commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion has enhanced on-campus visibility and support of the LGBTQ+ community.
