Dr. Michael Tuder is an internationally renowned veterinarian with over 40 years of experience in the tri-state area and Dominican Republic.
Having grown up in veterinary medicine, Dr Tuder got his opportunity to lead after graduating from PHU National University (UNPHU), School of Veterinary Medicine in the Dominican Republic. Upon returning home to NJ, he was given the reins to the family's Bayonne practice, which was founded in 1944. He grew that one practice into four very successful hospitals that are the best in the area and became United Veterinary Care’s foundational practices.
Throughout his career, Dr. Tuder has served as president of the New Jersey Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, was named an honorary professor of surgery at his alma mater, became the tri-state area's first fellow of veterinary laser surgery, and introduced that method to the Dominican Republic. He holds multiple accreditations and is a member of the top US veterinary associations.
Today, Dr. Tuder sits on UVC’s Board of Directors and leads UVC’s NJ Division as President. As he has done with his own family’s legacy, as Founding Member and member of UVC’s Board of Directors, Dr. Tuder is committed to ensuring that the hard work and legacy of our member hospitals are protected and preserved as they join our organization.
Dr. Tuder resides in northern NJ with his lovely family, where in addition to his roles in UVC leadership, he continues to lead the original four UVC locations.
